Professional Bio

Dr. Yoshiharu Krockenberger received his  'Diploma of Physics' from the Entrepreneurial University of Munich. During his PhD time, he worked at the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Physics in Stuttgart. He finished his PhD thesis in 2006 with 'summa cum laude' from the TU Darmstadt. Until 2010, he worked as a research scientist at RIKEN in Japan together with Prof. Y. Tokura and Prof. M. Kawasaki. Since 2010, he runs the 'Complex transition metal oxides and nitrides' team at NTT Basic Research Laboratories in Japan where he works as a distinguished senior research scientist.
